Recently, Indian energy and infrastructure company Jakson Group has commenced construction on the first phase of its 6GW integrated solar ingot, wafer, cell, and module manufacturing plant in the Maksi Phase II area of Ujjain District, Madhya Pradesh.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the 113-acre project site, where Jakson announced an investment of over 80 billion Indian rupees (approximately $912 million) in the facility. According to the company, this project will become the largest solar manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The first phase will include a 3GW solar cell production line and a 4GW module production line, with subsequent backward integration into ingot and wafer manufacturing planned for later stages.
