Recently, Italian photovoltaic equipment supplier Ecoprogetti announced that its fully automated 400-megawatt solar module production line deployed in Salalah, Oman, has successfully commenced operation. The completion of this factory not only marks a crucial development stage for Oman’s solar manufacturing industry but also enables Ecoprogetti to achieve full business coverage across Oman, solidifying its leading position in the local photovoltaic module manufacturing sector. Simultaneously, it lays the foundation for Oman to strengthen its role as a strategic hub for photovoltaic manufacturing and export.
It is reported that this new factory was custom-built by Ecoprogetti for Advanced American Clean Energy (AACE). The entire design and construction of the production line were completed in Italy. A core highlight is the integration of two cutting-edge module production technologies: TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) and HJT (Heterojunction). The line achieves full-process automation, encompassing string soldering, layup, lamination, framing, testing, and quality inspection. Ecoprogetti stated that this production system ensures high capacity and superior quality while offering exceptional flexibility to adapt to technological advancements and dynamic market demands. Its solutions cater not only to new manufacturers but also to existing enterprises seeking to enhance automation levels, reduce operational costs, and achieve precise control over production quality.
