On July 31, Serigne Mbaye Thiam, Senegal’s Minister of Energy, Petroleum, and Mines, visited China Energy Engineering International Group. Xue Danfeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the company, held talks with Thiam. Both sides engaged in practical discussions on implementing the China-Senegal Belt and Road Initiative cooperation and Senegal’s “Emerging Senegal 2050” vision, supporting Senegal’s energy, power, and infrastructure transformation, and accelerating the progress of key cooperative projects.
During the meeting, China Energy Engineering International Group signed a cooperation agreement with Senegal’s National Electricity Company for a 500MW solar-plus-storage power station project.
