Australia’s Largest PV Module Distributor Expands into “Key Markets” Including Romania

Australia’s largest solar panel wholesaler and distributor, One Stop Warehouse (OSW), aims to become the “Amazon of clean energy” and has secured $5.5 million (approximately AUD 8.5 million) in funding to support its international expansion into markets including Romania, which is identified as a key solar market.

The investment was provided by Shanghai-based venture capital firm SparkEdge Capital, which focuses on renewable energy and semiconductor sectors. The funds will be used to expand operations in “key solar markets” such as Spain, Romania, the United States, and Mexico.

Anson Zhang, CEO and co-founder of OSW, stated, “We have dominated the Australian market for years—this investment marks a significant milestone as we enter new markets and continue developing the infrastructure needed to support the global energy transition. We are building an AI-based internet platform for the distributed energy industry—our vision is to become the ‘Amazon of clean energy,’ offering integrated solutions.”

Founded in 2013 by Anson Zhang and entrepreneur Jeff Yu in Brisbane, OSW quickly became a leader in Australia’s solar panel and battery distribution market, holding a dominant market share for seven consecutive years. Internationally, the company has established a strong presence in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and Poland, with a market penetration exceeding 20%. OSW also has sales offices in Germany, France, Italy, and Belgium.

The additional funding will also accelerate the global rollout of OSW’s GreenSketch platform. GreenSketch offers users a free digital service for one-stop solar and battery project design. According to OSW, GreenSketch is the first platform to provide a zero-cost, end-to-end solar design solution, integrating design, procurement, subsidy applications, and project management into a single free interface.
