AXIAN Energy has announced a grant of nearly $1 million from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) to advance its portfolio of renewable energy projects in Africa.
This funding will support the early-stage development of the company’s new photovoltaic projects in Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, and Sierra Leone. The efforts will include technical and environmental studies, as well as overall project architecture design.
According to AXIAN Energy’s medium- to long-term goals, the company plans to achieve a renewable energy installed capacity of 2GW by 2030, with a focus on large-scale solar and hydropower infrastructure development.
