Boviet Solar Boosts U.S. Module Capacity to 3 GW

Vietnam-based Boviet Solar Technology Co Ltd has added a new production line to its photovoltaic module factory in North Carolina, increasing the plant’s annual capacity to 3 gigawatts (GW).

Boviet Solar stated that it has installed an additional 1 GW production line at its Greenville manufacturing facility. This move will help the company meet the growing market demand for solar products made in the USA.

The Greenville plant is a crucial part of Boviet Solar’s North American manufacturing strategy. The Phase I project, which commenced operations in April this year, established a 2 GW module production base primarily manufacturing Gamma series monofacial PV modules and Vega series bifacial PV modules. The Phase II project is scheduled to start mass production in 2026, adding 2 GW of PV cell capacity, with the potential for this capacity to be increased to 3 GW subsequently.
