Recently, CHINT Green Energy Bangladesh Branch officially signed an EPC contract with BRB Cable Industries Ltd., a well-known local cable manufacturer, to design and construct a total of 10MW of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems. The project includes 7MW of rooftop solar installations on industrial plants and 3MW on hospital rooftops, marking a key milestone for CHINT Green Energy in Bangladesh’s renewable energy market and realizing its first BIPV project in the country.

Founded in 1978, BRB Cable is one of the largest cable manufacturers in Bangladesh, holding over 50% of the domestic market share. The company has consistently ranked among Bangladesh’s top taxpayers and has received official certification from the Ministry of Environment and Forest for its outstanding contributions to “environmental pollution control.” Partnering with CHINT Green Energy represents a significant step in BRB’s sustainability strategy and its transition toward green, low-carbon development.

Leveraging its comprehensive strengths in system design, equipment integration, and project execution, CHINT Green Energy stood out in a highly competitive international bidding process. The project solution not only excels in power generation efficiency and system reliability but also demonstrates significant cost-effectiveness across its lifecycle, ultimately earning BRB’s trust and approval.
