Expanding into Latin America! Trina Solar Collaborates with Facens University to Establish Brazil’s First PV Industry-Academia-Research Center

Recently, Trina Solar joined hands with Brazil’s Facens University to unveil its first Innovation and Training Center. Following the Madrid Polytechnic Demonstration Center, this marks another global industry-academia-research collaboration by Trina Solar, with strong support from the university’s electrical engineering team and sustainability committee.

Located in Sorocaba, a satellite city of São Paulo, Facens University is ranked as Brazil’s most sustainable private higher education institution in the UI GreenMetric international rankings. Focused on engineering and technological education, the university emphasizes innovation and practical skills, standing as the region’s first higher education institution in the engineering field.

The newly established Innovation and Training Center, situated on the university campus, will provide students, professionals, and clients with integrated services, including technical training, applied research, and on-site visits. Trina Solar has strongly supported the center’s development by equipping it with an advanced PV system composed of Tracker 1P mounts and Vertex N-type modules.

At the center, installers, integrators, EPCs, developers, and engineers can participate in various offline technical courses, which emphasize hands-on training and market-oriented skills, helping them master mainstream PV equipment and cutting-edge technology applications.
