Germany Adds 7.1 GW of New PV Capacity in First Half of 2025

According to the latest data released by the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), Germany installed 905 MW of new photovoltaic (PV) capacity in June 2025, bringing the total newly installed capacity in the first half of the year to 7.1 GW. Despite the continued growth in total capacity, the expansion rate of PV installations has slowed significantly compared to the same period last year due to policy adjustments and market fluctuations, posing structural challenges for the industry.
