Huasun’s Kunlun Series Vertical Modules Shine at 17th BATA AGRO Exhibition, Advancing Agri-PV Integration in Bulgaria and Beyond

Huasun’s Kunlun Series vertical modules made their debut and stole the spotlight at the 17th BATA AGRO Agricultural Technology Exhibition held in Bulgaria. Serving as an outstanding embodiment of the “agri-photovoltaic (agri-PV) synergy” concept, the modules marked a significant stride toward the cross-sectoral integration of “agriculture+” in Bulgaria and Europe’s agricultural economy.

On the exhibition’s opening day, Georgi Tahov, Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food, visited Huasun’s booth. He expressed sincere appreciation for the Kunlun Series modules’ immense economic and social potential and engaged in in-depth discussions with Huasun representatives about the advantages of heterojunction (HJT) technology and the economic benefits of vertical agri-PV projects.

Tahov emphasized that exploring sustainable models for integrating energy and agricultural development is a critical global challenge. Vertical agri-PV projects hold significant importance in enhancing land-use efficiency, boosting agricultural economic growth, and optimizing energy structures. The Bulgarian government is committed to advancing policies that support the development of agri-PV projects, providing robust policy guarantees for the growth of this emerging sector.

Currently, Huasun has formed a strategic partnership with Next2Sun, a leading German vertical photovoltaic (PV) enterprise. Together, they have established multiple megawatt-scale, high-efficiency HJT vertical agri-PV projects in locations such as Merzig, Germany. In practical applications, these projects feature wide spacing between PV arrays, ensuring ample growing space for crops and unobstructed access for agricultural machinery, thus fully preserving the land’s agricultural functionality.

Huasun’s Kunlun Series HJT modules stand tall within these projects, harnessing nearly 100% bifaciality to capture abundant sunlight. This approach ensures agricultural production while generating a steady stream of green energy. The model exemplifies efficient land-resource utilization and cross-sectoral integration of agriculture and PV technology, offering a new paradigm for accelerating global agricultural sustainability.
