India’s ALMM Solar Cell Capacity Grows to 26 GW

The Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has released the fourth revised version of the “Approved List of Models and Manufacturers for Solar Cells (ALMM-II),” with the total registered capacity now increased to 26 gigawatts.

Evervolt Green Energy has been included in the ALMM-II list for the first time, with a registered capacity of 1,074 MW. Its production base is located in Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh. The company’s listed product is a 182.2mm×182.2mm bifacial monocrystalline silicon PERC solar cell featuring a 10-busbar design.

The EVT-M10-BR-PERC model offers an average conversion efficiency of 23.10% and an average power output of 7.66 watts, with efficiency ranging from 22% to 23.50% and power output ranging from 7.26 to 7.75 watts. The registration is valid from February 5, 2026, to February 4, 2030.

Premier Energy PV has added a new solar cell model to the list, increasing its registered capacity by 607 MW. The new model is a bifacial N-type TOPCon cell with G12R specifications, measuring 182.3mm×210mm and featuring a 16-busbar structure. It offers an average conversion efficiency of 25.37% and an average power output of 9.71 watts, with efficiency ranging from 24% to 26% and power output ranging from 9.18 to 9.95 watts.

Mundra Solar PV (Adani Group) has also added a new model, increasing its registered capacity by 405 MW. The TPRB16 model is a bifacial N-type TOPCon cell measuring 182.3mm×210mm and featuring a 16-busbar structure. It offers an average conversion efficiency of 25.35% and an average power output of 9.70 watts, with efficiency ranging from 24.5% to 25.7% and power output ranging from 9.37 to 9.82 watts.

Force India Solar Investments has added 221 MW of registered capacity based on its qualification for the ALMM-I list for solar modules, bringing its total registered capacity to 3,433 MW.

In December 2025, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy released the third version of the ALMM solar cell list, at which time the total registered capacity was 23.7 GW. After the release of the second version in September 2025, the total registered capacity had risen to 17.88 GW.
