Intersolar Europe 2025 Opens in Munich with Tongwei Unveiling Next-Gen TNC 2.0 Full-Scenario Product Portfolio

Intersolar Europe 2025 officially kicked off in Munich, Germany, with Tongwei showcasing its latest TNC 2.0 full-scenario product matrix.

The new TNC 2.0 series modules, centered on “efficiency, reliability, and sustainability,” comprehensively enhance energy generation performance across diverse application scenarios. Beyond reducing the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE), the series aims to drive energy independence and reshape future energy landscapes.

Dr. Xing Guoqiang, Chief Technology Officer of Tongwei’s PV Division, highlighted that the TNC 2.0 modules achieve all-around performance upgrades through four key technologies: the 908 Technology (Tongwei’s proprietary 0BB technology), TPE Edge Passivation Technology, Poly Tech, and steel mesh printing.

Technical Breakthroughs:

  • Silicone Adhesive Replacement: By substituting organic silicone adhesive for traditional cell pad connections, shaded areas are reduced, internal stress minimized, and the risk of cell microcracks lowered by 30%, enhancing module reliability.
  • Laser-Cut Edge Passivation: Advanced passivation materials are applied to repair defects on laser-cut cell edges, significantly improving cell performance.
  • Steel Mesh Printing: A specially designed steel plate replaces conventional screens, achieving 100% aperture ratio and reducing shaded areas by 3.3%, while boosting current collection efficiency.
  • Poly Layer Optimization: Non-contact Poly layer removal ensures passivation and contact performance, reduces optical losses, and enhances module power output and bifaciality.

During the exhibition, Tongwei formally signed a 2025 strategic cooperation agreement with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade Holding GmbH, a leading European energy service provider.

Additionally, Tongwei inked a project supply agreement with INFO-Telecom for the Eastern European market.
