In the latest development, Corning Incorporated, a global materials leader, has announced the acquisition of JA Solar Technology’s 2GW photovoltaic module factory in Arizona, signaling continued expansion of local manufacturing by new players in the U.S. solar market.
The facility will be operated by American Panel Solution, a newly established subsidiary under Corning. A company spokesperson confirmed the acquisition to the media.
