JinkoSolar Energy Storage Accelerates European Strategy with Two Key Partnerships

JinkoSolar Energy Storage, a global leader in energy storage solutions, has recently secured two significant partnerships, marking a further acceleration of its European strategic strategic layout. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with established distributor SolarToday for the pan-European distribution of its SunGiga system and reached a strategic agreement with Bulgarian energy firm Filkab to jointly advance a “dual-track energy storage” deployment, expanding its regional market influence and supporting Europe’s accelerated transition toward a green energy system.

Under the cooperation terms, SolarToday will serve as JinkoSolar’s core distribution partner in the Benelux region, Romania, Greece, Germany, and Turkey, promoting JinkoSolar’s flagship SunGiga Dolphin all-in-one energy storage system. Leveraging SolarToday’s extensive local operational experience and broad channel network in Europe, the two parties will jointly develop integrated photovoltaic + energy storage smart solutions to meet diverse clean energy demands.

Tom Engbers, CEO of SolarToday, stated, “JinkoSolar is a core strategic partner in our pan-European distribution model. The signing of this energy storage cooperation agreement underscores our shared commitment to a trinity strategy encompassing ‘power generation (photovoltaics), energy storage (ESS), and power consumption (electric vehicles).’ We are proud to establish this in-depth cooperation with JinkoSolar Energy Storage.”

Meanwhile, in the Southeast European market, JinkoSolar Energy Storage has officially announced a collaboration with Bulgarian energy company Filkab to jointly advance a “dual-track energy storage” strategy locally. JinkoSolar will provide Filkab with its SunTera G2 Blue Whale liquid-cooled energy storage system for large-scale grid scenarios and its SunGiga Dolphin system tailored for industrial and commercial applications, meeting diverse energy storage needs from centralized to distributed settings.

Slav Landov, General Manager of Filkab, remarked, “Our cooperation with JinkoSolar Energy Storage not only enables us to scale mature energy storage solutions in Bulgaria but also injects new value into the local energy system. The Blue Whale SunTera G2 system flexibly adapts to large-scale grid projects, while the Dolphin SunGiga is custom-built for industrial and commercial clients. Their combination will significantly enhance grid stability and accelerate the energy decarbonization process. This collaboration marks an important milestone in our journey toward next-generation energy infrastructure.”

Commenting on the two partnerships, Roberto Murgioni, General Manager of JinkoSolar Energy Storage Europe, said, “SolarToday and Filkab possess outstanding market influence and resource integration capabilities in the pan-European market and Bulgaria, respectively, making them vital partners for our localized, large-scale energy storage deployment in Europe. By collaborating with these like-minded enterprises, we will continue to deliver highly integrated and resilient energy storage solutions, supporting Europe in enhancing grid stability, improving renewable energy utilization efficiency, and jointly accelerating the clean energy transition.”
