On May 26, LONGi issued an announcement stating that Li Zhenguo has resigned from his positions as Director, General Manager, and Legal Representative of the company. However, he will continue to serve as the President of the company’s Central Research Institute and the Chief Technology Officer of the Technology Management Center, focusing on leading the team to concentrate on breakthroughs in cutting-edge photovoltaic (PV) technologies.
Li Zhenguo stated, “For the next 25 years, our direction and goal are to make green electricity from PV more accessible and convenient. We need to continue reducing the cost of PV power generation, expand the application scenarios of PV, integrate PV with energy storage organically, and create off-grid application scenarios for PV through the development of hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol businesses, thereby expanding the market space for PV. At the same time, we will contribute to sustainable human development, the achievement of carbon neutrality goals, and energy transformation.”
