Recently, LONGi Green Energy Technology partnered with global energy giant ENGIE and China’s leading power construction enterprise PowerChina to sign a major strategic cooperation agreement in Paris, France. Under this collaboration, LONGi will supply over 1 GW of its high-efficiency upgraded Hi-MO 9 BC (Back-Contact) modules. The signing of this global ultra-large-scale BC cooperation marks the full-scale commercialization and value realization of high-efficiency BC technology, signaling that the global PV ecosystem is “racing” into the BC era.

The latest Hi-MO 9 BC modules, powered by second-generation BC technology, boast a power output of up to 670W and a conversion efficiency of 24.8%. They exhibit ultra-low degradation performance under high-temperature, high-humidity, and other complex conditions, significantly reducing the risks of module failure and fires while unlocking greater energy yield and value over the plant’s entire lifecycle.
This strategic partnership will substantially advance renewable energy targets in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region, accelerating the clean energy transition of local energy structures.
LONGi’s founder and president Li Zhenguo stated that the signing of this tripartite cooperation agreement will help LONGi, ENGIE, and PowerChina establish a long-term, stable strategic partnership based on their existing collaborations. The three parties will leverage their respective strengths in project development, technological innovation, and engineering implementation to continuously expand cooperation outcomes and lead the global clean energy revolution.
