LONGi Green Energy and Fortescue Sign Cooperation Framework for Global Grid Decarbonization Project

Recently, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation framework agreement with Fortescue Ltd, a globally leading resources and green energy company from Australia. The signing ceremony was attended by LONGi’s Chairman and General Manager Zhong Baoshen and Fortescue’s Executive Chairman Dr. Andrew Forrest. This signing marks a critical step in the strategic collaboration between the two parties to promote the green transformation of the global energy structure.

According to the agreement, LONGi will supply high-efficiency photovoltaic products for Fortescue’s integrated green grid projects across multiple countries and regions including Australia, the United States, Chile, Peru, Africa, and the Middle East. The two companies will also jointly participate in project development and equity cooperation, covering the entire energy solution chain from power generation and energy storage to transmission and distribution.

A key focus of this collaboration includes supporting the comprehensive decarbonization of Fortescue’s iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. As a crucial technical partner for the project, LONGi will provide its latest generation of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules and contribute industry-leading technological expertise to help the project achieve globally competitive Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), ensuring the green energy solution outperforms traditional fossil fuels in both economic efficiency and environmental benefits.
