Midea Energy Debuts at 2025 SNEC Expo, Unveiling Integrated Strategies and Innovations

On June 11, Midea Group’s energy-related businesses made their debut at the 2025 International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Exhibition under the unified brand image of “Midea Energy.”

The cornerstone of Midea Energy’s newly launched strategy is technology-driven efficiency, aiming to achieve chain-like integration across energy storage, heat pumps, and AI. Concurrently, Midea Energy unveiled its next-generation container-level direct-cooling energy storage platform, next-generation heat pump technologies, and an AI-powered energy management system.

The energy storage platform optimizes energy use through dynamic source-load matching, leveraging Midea’s decades-long expertise in thermal management and power electronics. For instance, the Aqua3.0, the industry’s first direct-cooling system, enhances system efficiency and safety, boosting energy returns and setting new standards in energy storage technology.

At the event, Midea Energy introduced three novel heat pump technologies. The H-Pack hybrid heat pump, dubbed the “space-saving hero,” adapts to energy prices for optimal control, reducing installation time by 60%. The ultra-high-temperature heat pump, a leader in temperature performance, achieves a 70℃ rise with a heating COP >4.2 and a maximum outlet temperature of 130℃, catering to industrial waste heat recovery and ultra-high-temperature demands. The solar-thermal zero-cost heat pump, known as the “solar dispatcher,” achieves up to 80% self-sufficiency in heating and hot water through flexible electric-thermal scheduling.

AI technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing system efficiency within Midea Energy’s strategy. With early strategic deployment in AI, Midea established an AI research institute staffed with experts in algorithms and intelligent sensing. The AI-driven next-generation energy management system applies to large-scale virtual power plants and home energy stations.

In virtual power plant applications, Midea leverages its multi-resource enterprise entity and product matrix to make energy storage and virtual power plants more agile, diversified, scalable, and flexible. Its advanced algorithm-based prediction models lead the industry, with 92% price forecasting accuracy and 97% load forecasting accuracy.

For home energy stations, Midea’s integrated household and photovoltaic storage products serve as energy hubs, combining advanced algorithms with dynamic pricing to achieve minimal cost and maximum efficiency, with self-sufficiency rates reaching nearly 80%.

The exponential growth of AI technology is disrupting traditional energy supply-demand balance. Midea Energy leverages the AI technological revolution to reshape the energy industry chain, reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon, efficient energy structure.

“China’s Energy Transition Outlook 2024” highlights that constructing a new power system is a core measure for energy transition, requiring coordinated development of various resources like “source, grid, load, storage, and hydrogen,” forming a “large-scale interconnection, small-scale balancing” grid pattern.

Currently, Midea Energy has achieved competitive differentiation by covering the entire energy industry chain and leveraging Midea’s unique strengths. Through brands like Midea, Hiconics, Kelong Electronic, and KUKA, it offers customizable energy solutions for diverse industry clients and home users.

At the exhibition, Midea Energy showcased comprehensive solutions for home, industrial and commercial, green building, large-scale ground storage, and intelligent manufacturing, attracting significant attention from professionals and peers. Many visitors expressed surprise at Midea Energy’s extensive business coverage and strong individual capabilities, anticipating enhanced competitive strength in the market and customer collaboration, injecting new variables and opportunities into the energy industry.

For home energy needs, Midea Energy’s “Green Villa” solution enables intelligent, one-screen control of home energy generation, storage, and consumption, establishing a household green energy microgrid.

Leveraging its “source, grid, load, storage” full-chain ecosystem products and full-lifecycle service capabilities, Midea Energy introduced photovoltaic-storage integrated “Flash Delivery” products with flexible models and higher returns. The industrial and commercial storage Aqua-EM series enhances system efficiency by 30% through AI cell holographic management technology.

Midea Energy also launched energy storage thermal management systems and an AI-powered full-domain ecological platform for efficient machine rooms, ensuring stable energy supply and optimal energy efficiency simulation design, meeting diverse building needs with dual control of energy and carbon.

Through full-stack self-production and R&D capabilities in PCS, BMS, EMS, and modules, Midea Energy has built a complete chain of “efficient power generation, safe energy storage, and flexible peak shaving,” achieving integrated breakthroughs in global markets like China and the United States.

With deep roots in new energy intelligent manufacturing, Midea Energy boasts mature application cases from material-end automation processes to final product storage cabinets. This is regarded as Midea Energy’s greatest differentiating strength, empowering the energy industry with “quality and efficiency improvement” system solutions from the bottom-up intelligent manufacturing level. KUKA’s heavy-duty robots have a market share exceeding 25% in the new energy industry.
