Pahal Solar Announces 2 GW Cell and 2 GW Frame Factory

Indian solar company Pahal Solar has launched the construction of a new industrial park in Surat, Gujarat, with a groundbreaking ceremony held recently. The project includes a 2 GW solar cell factory and a 2 GW aluminum frame production facility, representing a key step in the company’s vertical integration strategy and aligning with the Indian government’s “Self-Reliant India” initiative.

The new park will incorporate AI-based precision control systems and data analytics to enhance production efficiency and product quality consistency. As a major milestone in Pahal Solar’s transition toward full industrial chain integration, the project will significantly expand the company’s production scale. Currently, Pahal Solar already possesses 2.4 GW of solar module capacity and 2 GW of PV ribbon and busbar production capability. By the end of this fiscal year, its total installed capacity is expected to increase to 4.4 GW.
