On December 5, at the New Energy and High-Performance New Materials Investment Promotion Event of the 2025 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference, Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd. and Huawei Digital Energy signed an agreement for the Shenzhen Energy Mawan Power Plant project, aiming to jointly contribute to the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s new energy industry.
According to the agreement, the two parties plan to collaborate on constructing a new energy storage project within the power plant. As a model project for grid-forming energy storage and power plant digitalization, upon completion, it will not only support high-load-density grid peak and frequency regulation but also meet the needs of deep peak shaving for coal-fired units and stabilize power fluctuations. Through coordinated and coupled power supply, the partnership will leverage complementary strengths to significantly enhance power supply reliability and equipment operation safety across multiple dimensions, including optimized allocation of power generation resources, system operation control, and full lifecycle management of equipment.
