As critical components connecting PV modules to inverters and balance of system (BOS) equipment, the quality of electrical connectors is paramount. The Bengaluru plant’s expansion involves the introduction of advanced automated assembly lines and enhanced quality assurance systems, with a primary focus on producing its MC4-Evo1 and MC4-Evo2 series connectors.
Currently, the products from the Bengaluru plant mainly supply high-demand centers within India, covering areas such as Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chennai, and Karnataka. Stäubli stated that through this capacity expansion, the company aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality, locally manufactured PV connectors, while also supporting global supply requirements. This initiative will not only increase production output and shorten delivery cycles but also improve supply chain resilience for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), EPC contractors, and asset owners.
