Recently, Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a globally renowned player in the renewable energy Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) sector, announced that it has successfully secured three new EPC contracts for solar projects with a total value of approximately INR 17.72 billion. Two of these projects are located in India, and one is situated in South Africa. These new signings have significantly bolstered the company’s order book for the current fiscal year. To date, SWREL’s total EPC order inflow for this fiscal year has surpassed INR 37.75 billion, demonstrating robust business growth momentum.
For the domestic Indian projects, SWREL secured two major contracts by submitting the lowest bids (L1). The first project is a 363 MWp (Megawatt peak) DC photovoltaic plant located in Rajasthan. The other, larger domestic project is a 580 MWp DC photovoltaic plant established in Uttar Pradesh. Notably, both contracts are based on a Balance of System (BOS) model, excluding solar panels, with SWREL responsible for all other related construction activities.
On the international front, SWREL has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a new 115 MWp DC solar power plant project in South Africa. This project is expected to generate approximately USD 120 million in revenue for the company. This marks the third project contract secured by SWREL in South Africa, fully reflecting the effectiveness of the company’s strategic positioning and its continued expansion momentum in the region.
