The U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced the partial removal of anti-dumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD) on certain small-scale solar equipment imported from China. The adjustment applies to low-power, off-grid solar cells and modules primarily used in lighting control systems.
This decision followed an application by Lutron Electronics Co. Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of solar lighting control products, and months of industry consultations. The tariffs were ultimately lifted as no domestic manufacturers opposed the move.
