On November 27, Jinko Solar, a leading global photovoltaic company, announced that its N-type TOPCon-based perovskite tandem solar cell has achieved a certified conversion efficiency of 34.76%, as authorized by the National Photovoltaic Industry Metrology and Testing Center (NPVM). This breakthrough surpasses the previous record of 34.22% for the same type of tandem cell, marking Jinko Solar’s 32nd time breaking world records for cell efficiency and module power. It signifies a major advancement in its next-generation perovskite tandem technology.
This efficiency breakthrough is attributed to Jinko Solar’s systematic innovation in the fields of perovskite and tandem technology. It was achieved through multiple material technology innovations, including the company’s self-developed high-efficiency N-type TOPCon bottom cell technology, perovskite bottom interface defect passivation technology, novel perovskite crystallization technology, and a deeply optimized strategy for vertical charge transport. This achievement not only demonstrates Jinko Solar’s leading R&D capabilities in perovskite technology but also lays a solid foundation for its industrial deployment in the high-efficiency tandem cell sector.
