Jinko ESS Successfully Signs 150 MWh Energy Storage System Solution in Germany

Recently, Jinko ESS, a global leading company in the photovoltaic and energy storage sector, successfully signed a 150 MWh energy storage system solution in Germany. The project will deploy 30 sets of Jinko ESS G2 5MWh System, with each system integrated into a 20-foot standard container. Deliveries are scheduled to take place in batches from late October to mid-November 2025.

The Jinko ESS G2 5MWh System has set an industry benchmark with its 94% system-level charge-discharge efficiency. Its long-duration energy storage design enables deep participation in grid frequency regulation and renewable energy integration, significantly enhancing energy utilization and customer returns. The containerized structural design greatly reduces land requirements, aligning well with Europe’s intensive land resource development direction.

In terms of safety performance, the system strictly controls the temperature difference between battery cells within ±2.5°C through liquid cooling technology. Combined with multi-level fire isolation and intelligent early warning mechanisms, it fundamentally reduces the risk of thermal runaway. In terms of operation and maintenance, the built-in energy management cloud platform can monitor full-lifecycle data in real-time and optimize energy efficiency through AI algorithms. Its on-demand directional cooling technology reduces auxiliary energy consumption by 20% compared to traditional solutions, potentially saving operators tens of thousands of euros in electricity costs annually.

Roberto, General Manager of Jinko ESS Europe, stated, “This project underscores Europe’s demand for high-safety, high-efficiency energy storage technologies. Jinko ESS is honored to support Germany’s gradual transition to clean energy through our liquid-cooled, high-efficiency energy storage solutions.”
