On May 16, 2025, Colombia’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism issued Official Gazette No. 114, announcing a negative final determination in its anti-dumping investigation of colorless float glass plates originating from China. The ministry decided to close the investigation without imposing anti-dumping duties. The affected products, classified under Colombian tariff codes 7005.29.10.00 and 7005.29.90.00, will face no trade restrictions. The ruling took effect immediately upon publication.

The investigation was initiated on June 21, 2024, following allegations of dumping practices by Chinese exporters. On September 6, 2024, Colombia’s investigative authority issued a preliminary ruling, opting to continue the probe without levying provisional anti-dumping duties during the interim phase.
This decision concludes the 11-month investigation, sparing Chinese glass manufacturers from punitive measures and maintaining market access for the specified products in Colombia.
