Hi-MO 5 modules, based on 182mm cells, are ideal for utility-scale power plants, but are also widely applicable for the distributed market, the company said.

The announcement quotes in-depth analysis that suggests that Hi-MO 5 is widely considered to represent the optimal product based on size, its compatibility with the industrial chain, its product value and life cycle reliability.

The product was first released on June 29, 2020 and made it first trade show appearance during SNEC Shanghai in August of the same year.

The 30 GW milestone was achieved just one year after the company has shipped 10 GW of Hi-MO 5 modules globally in 2021.
