Recently, WorldOne Energies officially inaugurated its 1.2GW solar panel manufacturing facility. This project not only marks a breakthrough for India in clean technology manufacturing but is also regarded as a critical step in the country’s energy transition and net-zero ambitions. The plant will integrate full supply-chain capabilities—from silicon ingots to energy storage systems—and aims to strengthen India’s position in the global clean energy supply chain by exporting to North American markets.
Located in Maharashtra, the newly operational plant’s total investment remains undisclosed. However, industry analysts estimate it to be among India’s largest projects of its kind. Designed to cover the entire solar PV value chain, the facility includes production lines for silicon ingots, wafers, cells, modules, and inverters, along with a battery energy storage system (BESS) assembly line. With highly automated processes, the plant is expected to achieve an annual capacity of 1.2 gigawatts, catering to India’s rapidly growing domestic renewable energy demand while supplying high-end products to international markets.
