LEAPTING PV3/1.5GW Abu Dhabi Project Kicks Off with Installation Robots

Recently, the self-developed automatic navigation module installation robot by LEAPTING Intelligence officially commenced operation at the PV3 project site in Abu Dhabi, UAE. On the morning of January 14, the robot participated in the groundbreaking ceremony organized by the EPC contractor.

The ceremony was attended by senior representatives and industry experts from multiple organizations, including Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), Masdar Energy, Électricité de France (EDF), Korea Western Power, and PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation, among others.

At the event site, LEAPTING’s installation robots were arranged in an orderly manner, demonstrating efficient and stable installation operations. It is reported that LEAPTING has deployed a total of 25 installation robots for the project, which are expected to complete continuous module installation over approximately 8 to 9 months. The total installation volume is projected to exceed 2 million modules. This project has also become the first demonstration project in the UAE to adopt robotic automation technology for photovoltaic module installation.

This deployment marks a significant milestone in LEAPTING’s global strategic expansion and represents another breakthrough following the batch deployment of installation robots for the 500MW PIF4 project in Saudi Arabia. It reflects the company’s active efforts to deepen clean energy cooperation and promote sustainable development in the Middle East, signifying a new phase of comprehensive application in the automation and intelligent development of the photovoltaic industry.
