Recently, during an investor survey, Canadian Solar (SH: 688472) announced that the first phase (2GW) of the US HJT cell factory, in which the company holds a stake, is expected to commence trial production in March or April. The production advantages of HJT in the US are primarily reflected in its simplified process flow, reduced manual intervention, and lower requirements for environmental control. Since 2020, the company has been conducting HJT industrialization research and talent development in locations such as Jiaxing, while maintaining small-batch product shipments.
