on March 31, the first green hydrogen was successfully produced in the photovoltaic hydrogen production and hydrogen energy supporting industry project in luquan district of Shijiazhuang invested and constructed by China energy construction hydrogen energy company. The success of hydrogen production verifies the feasibility of the project’s photovoltaic power generation off-grid hydrogen production process and the reliability of equipment operation, marking a new step in China’s green hydrogen layout.
the project is located in Luquan district, Shijiazhuang city, Hebei province, with a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan. its business scope includes the application of electrolytic water hydrogen production technology, the construction and operation of comprehensive energy-adding stations, etc. The first phase of the project focuses on the construction of photovoltaic power generation off-grid hydrogen production devices, supporting the construction of photovoltaic new energy power stations and electrochemical energy storage facilities, after commissioning hydrogen production capacity of 2600 tons/year, by-product liquid oxygen 19820 tons/year.
The project adopts advanced alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production process and relies on high-quality photovoltaic resources in Luquan District to realize “green power direct supply and zero carbon hydrogen production”. Hydrogen on each side is derived from clean and renewable energy, and there is no carbon emission in the whole production process.
After the project is completed and put into operation, the green hydrogen produced will be widely used in industrial decarbonization, transportation fuel, energy storage peak shaving and other fields, which will further improve the layout of the hydrogen energy industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and help the prosperity and development of the hydrogen energy industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
