The project started construction on August 1, 2025 and was successfully connected to the grid on March 31, 2026. At present, the commissioning of the energy storage zone and the following network-related test work are being carried out in full swing, and commercial use is planned to be completed by April 30, 2026.”

The project uses 12 circuits of 35 kV collection lines to connect to the 35 kV side of the newly-built 330 kV energy storage booster station, and synchronously support electrical equipment such as transformers, HGIS, lightning arresters, high-voltage switch cabinets, SVG cabinets, communication cabinets, and auxiliary equipment such as lighting, ventilation, pump gates, etc. The battery core adopts lithium iron phosphate battery, with a designed operating life of 20 years and a cycle number of not less than 6000 times. After the project is officially put into operation, it will accept the unified dispatching of Gansu power grid, which is mainly used for power grid peak regulation and frequency modulation, emergency backup power supply and other auxiliary services, which will greatly enhance the allocation space of new energy power generation, play a positive role in promoting regional new energy consumption, reducing power grid load pressure, maintaining stable operation of power grid and helping energy supply, At the same time, it also provides important demonstration and practical support for building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system.
