Canadian Solar Unveils Next-Gen N-Type High-Efficiency Modules, Energy Storage Systems, and Smart Inverters at SNEC 2025

On June 11, 2025, Canadian Solar Inc. made a grand entrance at SNEC 2025, showcasing its cutting-edge lineup of next-generation N-type high-efficiency modules, energy storage systems, smart inverters, and power conversion systems (PCS).

Canadian Solar’s new N-type high-power 182 Pro modules boast an impressive power output of up to 670W and an efficiency of 24.8%, with a bifaciality rate reaching 90%. These modules are perfectly suited for residential, commercial, industrial, and large-scale ground-mounted solar power plants, helping customers optimize their project investment returns. The N-type series, particularly the TOPBiHiKu7 modules, has received high praise from international certification authority DNV. In its Canadian Solar TOPCon Bankability Technical Assessment Report, DNV emphasized that the TOPBiHiKu7 series not only leads the industry in power and efficiency but also excels in reliability, quality, and lower levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). Compared to conventional modules, solar systems utilizing Canadian Solar’s TOPBiHiKu7 modules can reduce LCOE by approximately 3.2%, making them the preferred choice for constructing high-performance, long-lasting, and cost-effective solar power plants. Additionally, other newly exhibited modules feature exceptional characteristics such as anti-soiling, hail resistance, typhoon resistance, and high load capacity, enabling them to effortlessly withstand various complex environments and meet the diverse needs of different solar projects.

Canadian Solar’s comprehensive energy storage system solutions also garnered significant attention at the exhibition. These include the KuBank energy storage system for commercial and industrial applications and the SolBank energy storage system for large-scale power plants, offering global users flexible electricity usage solutions and empowering the energy structure transition.

Canadian Solar’s SolBank 3.0 Plus on Display

The SolBank 3.0 Plus energy storage product, showcased at the exhibition, represents another significant technological breakthrough in Canadian Solar’s SolBank battery energy storage solution lineup. By optimizing the material formulation and manufacturing process of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, SolBank 3.0 Plus achieves a comprehensive upgrade in battery performance. It offers an ultra-long lifespan of up to 25 years, with negligible capacity degradation in the first four years and a full lifecycle cycle count of up to 12,000 times. The energy storage system’s round-trip efficiency can reach 95%. By increasing the full lifecycle energy throughput by over 13%, SolBank 3.0 Plus significantly reduces customer operating costs. In terms of safety design, SolBank 3.0 Plus further enhances its already market-tested high safety standards and excellent safety record by adopting aerospace-grade thermal insulation materials and an upgraded electrical protection system. The optimized battery cooling system not only achieves industry-leading low noise output but also reduces auxiliary load power consumption by up to 30%. Additionally, SolBank 3.0 Plus employs active cell-level balancing technology to optimize battery performance and monitor health status in real-time.
