Indian Jakson Engineers to build 2.5GW solar cell factory

Recently, Jakson Engineers, a subsidiary of Indian energy company Jakson Group, announced an investment plan of US$240 million to set up a 2.5GW solar cell manufacturing facility in India. And it will also expand the capacity of its existing solar module plant to 2GW.

According to the plan, the first phase of construction is expected to be completed and put into operation within 15 months. At the same time, the expansion of the solar module plant is also in preparation, and it is expected to complete expansion within 6 months.

Since its establishment in 1947, Jakson Group has gradually transformed from a diesel generator manufacturer to an enterprise providing comprehensive energy solutions. Its business scope covers multiple fields such as distributed energy, PV industry, environmental energy, alternative fuels, energy storage systems, and renewable energy, etc. It also provides EPC services for civil and infrastructure projects.
