The vanadium redox flow battery products produced by the project are key equipment for the green energy transition. “The battery products we designed have a cycle life of more than 16000 times and a service life of 20 to 25 years. They have the advantages of long-term energy storage, no capacity attenuation, and safety and non-flammability.” Zhang Fengdong’s analogy, these products are like a super-large capacity green “charging treasure”, which stably stores and efficiently uses every degree of green electricity from wind power and photovoltaic power.
relying on the annual production capacity of 1GW, the project can stably store about 1.44 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity every year after delivery, effectively solving the problem of “abandoning wind and light” and improving the utilization rate of renewable energy by more than 10%. Zhang Fengdong calculated that these green electricity can help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.1292 million tons per year and save about 412800 tons of standard coal.
In addition to considerable ecological benefits, the project equipment and production links are also “green” everywhere “. In the project production workshop, automatic intelligent assembly production line, AGV intelligent forklift and other equipment can be seen everywhere. “We have also introduced the reaction electrode cutting test line and the proton membrane cutting test line. The whole production process is designed according to the green and low-carbon standard, so that there is no pollution in the whole life cycle.” Field technician Chang Haoran said proudly.
from the start of construction in October 2024, to the first production line in December 2025, and now to the full start of equipment commissioning, this project with a total investment of 0.6 billion yuan has run out of “acceleration”. Zhang Fengdong said that they will do their best to speed up the commissioning progress, strive for the trial production of the project in May, and complete the construction of the laboratory, proton membrane production workshop and carbon felt production workshop by the end of December, so that green energy storage can better serve production and life.
