Italian solar PV equipment manufacturer Ecoprogetti has announced that its Ecosun Nova EL testing platform has been installed at the perovskite solar cell and mini-module pilot line of the French research institute IPVF.
The integrated testing platform combines a solar simulator with advanced electroluminescence (EL) analysis.
According to a statement, the system will provide advanced EL analysis and stability testing for cells and mini-modules, enabling IPVF to advance laboratory-developed technologies toward industrial standards. It was noted that the platform will allow for “more accurate assessment of durability, stability, and performance in real-world conditions.”
The testing instrument is designed to accommodate the non-standard and evolving testing procedures required for perovskite and other emerging cell technologies. It is a high-resolution EL system with a processing speed of 150 px/mm², supporting detailed analysis to identify defects, micro-cracks, and irregularities.
