Recently, a delegation from Italy’s leading glass manufacturer and photovoltaic building material company, New Time, led by its Chairman Paulo Camati, visited Huasun Solar’s (Huasun New Energy) Xuancheng headquarters. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Xu Xiaohua, Chairman of Huasun Solar, along with management members from the Marketing Center, Supply Chain Center, and Investment Cooperation Department. Both parties held in-depth talks regarding cooperation on Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules in the European market.
As a globally leading provider of high-efficiency photovoltaic solutions, Huasun Solar has consistently achieved breakthroughs in HJT technology and perovskite tandem cells. Its independently developed perovskite tandem cell has reached a conversion efficiency exceeding 34.02%, setting a new industry record and laying the technical groundwork for the deep integration of photovoltaic technology in future applications such as construction and transportation. During this exchange, the New Time team focused on reviewing Huasun’s achievements in the research and development of advanced heterojunction cell technology.
Based on a strong alignment in technological R&D and market application, Huasun and New Time have identified three key directions to deepen their collaboration:
- Promote the localized manufacturing of heterojunction module products in Europe to meet the localization requirements of the high-margin European market.
- Jointly develop customized BIPV products that comply with European building standards. By integrating Huasun’s high-efficiency HJT cells with New Time’s expertise in building energy system integration, the aim is to drive the large-scale application of products like PV facades and PV roofs in European commercial and public buildings.
- In anticipation of upcoming European agrivoltaics policies, collaborate on developing vertical farming modules and light-transmitting modules that meet local requirements, establishing a cooperation model driven by both “technology and market”.
