576MW! Sineng Electric Successfully Supplies India’s Largest Energy Storage Power Station

Recently, Sineng Electric has successfully delivered 576MW of energy storage inverters to the Khavda Energy Base in India. This delivery marks a significant breakthrough in Sineng Electric’s strategic advancement within the Indian energy storage market and adds another important milestone to the company’s overseas solar-plus-storage business journey.

Developed by the ADANI Group, this energy storage power station utilizes Sineng Electric’s centralized energy storage inverters. Upon completion, the station will have a total scale of 1,126MW / 3,530MWh, making it India’s largest energy storage power station and one of the world’s largest single-site energy storage power stations. After commissioning, the station will effectively help maintain grid stability, alleviate peak load pressure, and achieve round-the-clock power supply. This will also establish the Khavda Energy Base as one of the world’s largest “renewable energy + storage” complexes.

This year, India has continued to advance its efforts in the energy storage sector. The Ministry of Power has successively introduced policies mandating renewable energy storage allocation and various supporting incentive measures, indicating broad development prospects for the energy storage market. As a prominent energy giant in India, the ADANI Group had reached an operational renewable energy capacity of 16.7GW by September this year. Furthermore, according to its energy storage expansion plan, the Group aims to add 15GWh of new energy storage capacity by March 2027 and achieve a total of 50GWh in new storage installations within five years.
