On April 3, 2026, Huaneng Jingyang photovoltaic 20MW/40MWh energy storage project was successfully connected to the grid. This project is the first photovoltaic power side energy storage project in Shaanxi Province, and it is also Huaneng’s first “photovoltaic energy storage” integrated demonstration project in Shaanxi. It has set a new benchmark for Huaneng’s new energy development in Shaanxi and created a new situation in the integrated construction of photovoltaic energy storage in Shaanxi Province.


the project adopts 1500V high-pressure liquid-cooled battery container and string-type energy storage structure to realize the technical upgrade of the energy storage system from “extensive concentration” to “fine clustering”, greatly improve the safety, stability and charge and discharge efficiency of the energy storage system, and provide replicable and popularized technical solutions and construction experience for photovoltaic supporting energy storage projects in Shaanxi province. The grid-connected operation, effectively enhance the photovoltaic new energy absorption capacity, enhance the grid peak, frequency regulation and safe and stable operation level, promote the new energy from “single power generation” to “optical storage coordination, efficient utilization” transformation, for regional energy green low-carbon transformation into a strong impetus.
Next, Huaneng Jingyang Project will deepen the innovative application of “photovoltaic energy storage”, build a benchmark demonstration project, help optimize and upgrade the energy structure of Shaanxi Province, and contribute Huaneng power to the green and sustainable development of regional economy.
