Lay a Solid Foundation for Project Production on Time

China power construction Feicheng 2 × 300 MW salt cavern compressed air energy storage power station is the first new type of energy storage power station in China that adopts 300 MW grade full water medium large capacity high temperature and high pressure non-supplementary combustion advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage technology based on high pressure sediment void salt cavern. it is invested by China power construction new energy company and designed by Hebei institute, shandong Electric Power Construction Company is responsible for the main part of the construction commissioning.

the project is located in the energy storage industrial park of Shandong Feicheng economic development zone, covering an area of about 221 mu. it is planned to install 2 300 megawatt/1800 megawatt-hour compressed air energy storage units with a heat storage temperature as high as 224 ℃, a charging time of 8 hours, a full power generation time of 6 hours, and a design charging and discharging efficiency of over 70%, it has the remarkable characteristics of simple system, high efficiency, low investment and low operation and maintenance cost.

The hoisted generator stator weighs 281 tons, which is a super-dangerous project. The large volume of equipment, the narrow roads in the factory area, the cramped space of the main factory building, and the requirement of millimeter precision, coupled with the multi-party coordination involved in transportation and hoisting, put forward extremely high requirements for the construction organization. The project team set up a special assault team, adhered to the principle of “safety first, precision and high efficiency”, optimized the transportation and hoisting scheme for multiple rounds, implemented dynamic monitoring throughout the whole process, and finally succeeded in hoisting at one time.

The key hoisting operation was a complete success, which created the core basic conditions for the subsequent rotor fitting and effectively guaranteed the construction progress of the project. After the completion of the project, it is expected to cycle 330 times throughout the year, with an annual power generation of 1.188 billion kWh, which can meet the annual electricity demand of 600000 households, significantly improve the peak shaving capacity of the regional power grid, promote the consumption of new energy power, and provide strong support and important demonstration for the large-scale application of new energy storage technology in China.
