recently, an important new energy storage project in Ganzhou city, Jiangxi province- yanfeng 200MW/400MWh network type independent energy storage power station in Ganzhou economic development zone has officially started construction. The project uses lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery , and a new 220kV booster station connected to the grid. The biggest highlight of the project lies in its network type (Grid-Forming) technology, which has achieved three core performance breakthroughs: it has the extreme overload capacity of 3 times the rated current to deal with the impact of the power grid, and has millisecond response speed to instantaneously support the system voltage and frequency, and has the function of “all-round black start” , which can be started as an independent power supply when the power grid is out of power to help the power grid “self-healing” reconstruction. After the completion of the project, it will effectively improve the peak regulation capacity, new energy consumption level and power supply reliability of Ganzhou Economic Development Zone, which is an important practice to respond to the national “double carbon” strategy and build a new power system.
