according to the previous public information, on August 1, 2025, Fujian gulei biomass 1 million tons/year green methanol and downstream products project signed by zhengda group was successfully held in Beijing.
the total investment of the green methanol project signed this time is about 15 billion yuan. relying on gulei’s high-quality offshore wind power resources and zhengda group’s rich biomass resources, it will build an annual output of 1 million tons of green methanol and green sustainable aviation fuel, etc. and extend the production of downstream products such as green aviation fuel downward to create a “green energy and green chemical” industrial chain, providing a new technical path for large-scale green electricity consumption.
On November 15, 2024, China COSCO Shipping Group Co., Ltd., Thailand Zhengda Group Co., Ltd., and the United States Fu Ruibo Group jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation on green methanol production. The three parties will further develop their respective advantages and enhance synergy to establish an all-round partnership.
