Constructed by Chinese Enterprise! Indonesia’s 60MW Floating Solar Project Commences Construction

On September 25 local time, the inauguration ceremony was held for the 60MW Saguling floating solar project in Indonesia, constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd (Energy China) . This marks the official launch of the green energy project, which is expected to generate approximately 129 million kWh of electricity annually.

Located in the reservoir area of the Saguling Dam in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, this project is the first renewable energy initiative to break ground following the release of the Indonesian government’s new electricity plan (2025-2034). The project will include the construction of a 60MW (AC side) floating solar power plant, a 150kV booster station, an 8.5km 150kV double-circuit transmission line on the same tower, and a 150kV switching station.
