recently, with its solid technical accumulation and professional service ability, the west high school has successfully completed the network-related test of the first network-type energy storage power station in Shaanxi province-baishui (yuyuan) energy storage power station, realizing the “good start” of the new year’s work with the attitude of starting with a sprint, demonstrating the center’s professional strength based on the forefront of network technology and its responsibility to serve the construction of new power systems.

Baishui (Yuyuan) energy storage power station is the first power grid-side, grid-type, 100-megawatt integrated demonstration power station in Shaanxi Province, the installed capacity of the first phase is 98MW/294MWh, which is a landmark project to promote the development of new energy storage industry in the province. As the core key to solve the problem of high proportion of new energy grid-connected stability, the network-type energy storage technology can independently provide frequency adjustment, voltage support and inertia response, and its network-related test technology is difficult, which puts forward a very high test for the technical strength and team quality of the testing organization.
as the core position of the west high school in the field of deep-rooted new energy storage testing, the new energy experimental center has always been based on the forefront of network construction technology, deep-rooted research and development and practice of energy storage testing technology, built a full-chain testing capability covering “component-converter-energy storage system”, and reserved an experienced and professional technical team. Faced with the dilemma that there is no mature experience to learn from in the network-related test of the first network-type energy storage power station in the province, the new energy experiment center team took the initiative to take on the challenge, studied and judged the test difficulties in advance, accurately formulated the test scheme, and completed the key performance verification such as voltage/frequency adaptability test, fault crossing and active support of the power station in strict accordance with the relevant specification requirements of Shaanxi power grid, so as to ensure accurate and reliable test data, build a strong technical defense line for the safe and stable operation of the power station.
the successful completion of this network-related test is a concentrated expression of the technical strength of the new energy experimental center of the west high school. it provides key technical support for the Baishui energy storage power station to play its core roles such as peak cutting and valley filling, frequency modulation and phase modulation, and promoting new energy consumption. it also provides replicable and popularized testing experience for the subsequent construction of 1.2 million kw new energy storage projects in the province, it will inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of the new energy storage industry in Shaanxi Province.
