Recently, Harbin Electric Power Group Motor Company and Gezhouba Group International Company formally signed a procurement contract for 6 300 MW units and their ancillary equipment for Liaoning Taizihe Pumped Storage Power Station. As a national “14th Five-Year Plan” key energy project, all units of this project are independently developed and supplied by Harbin Electric Power Group, marking another masterpiece in the field of pumped storage equipment in my country.
The power station is located in Benxi County and Mingshan District, Benxi City, Liaoning Province. It is one of the pumped storage power stations with the largest installed capacity under construction in Northeast China, with a total installed capacity of 1800 MW. A total of 6 pumped storage units with a single unit capacity of 300 MW are installed, all developed by Harbin Electric Power Group Electric Company. After the completion of the project, it will undertake the tasks of peak regulation, valley filling, energy storage, frequency modulation, phase modulation and emergency backup in the Liaoning power grid system to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid. The first unit is planned to be connected to the grid in 2030.
