TBEA New Energy Releases New Generation Series Double Engine!

on April 1, the special electrician new energy “optical storage integration wisdom to start the new process” large-scale power station optical storage technology innovation summit and new product launch conference was held in Beijing. The press conference also featured analyses of industry trends, technical roadmap presentations, and the unveiling of several major new products. Leading experts and representatives from various companies came together to discuss the future of the new power system.

In his address at the press conference, Peng Xu, General Manager of TBEA New Energy Company, pointed out that on the eve of the 15th Five-Year Plan, large-scale clean energy bases—particularly those located in deserts and gobi regions—are emerging as the mainstay power sources of the electricity grid. In the face of the challenges posed by “high shares of renewable energy” and “high penetration of power electronic equipment,” integrated solar-plus-storage systems have become an indispensable approach to ensuring grid stability.

Liang Zhipeng, Chairman of the Renewable Energy Committee of the China Energy Research Society, then delivered a speech, further emphasizing the historical significance of this transformation.

Ma Shiyi, Director of the New Energy Research Institute at the Hydroelectric and Water Resources Planning and Design Institute, delivered a forward-looking presentation on “Paths for High-Quality Development of New Energy.” The centerpiece of this press conference was the new-product launch ceremony. Witnessed by the guests in attendance, TBEA New Energy officially launched its new-generation grid-forming, high-power string-type liquid-cooled energy storage converter and a brand-new 500kW string-type PV inverter.

Zhang Guangqing, Manager of the Energy Storage Division at the Beijing Jianheng Certification Center, shared, from a certification perspective, how string-type energy storage inverters under the new national standard can translate technological innovation into tangible value. The “grid-forming” capability, which was the focal point of the press conference, was repeatedly emphasized. Experts in attendance unanimously agreed that electrochemical energy storage must shift its focus from “price” to “value” and put an end to cutthroat price competition in order to ensure the healthy development of grid-forming energy storage solutions, thereby effectively supporting the safe and stable operation of the new power system. The entire press conference was tightly paced, moving seamlessly from macro policies and industry insights to specific product solutions. This layered approach clearly articulated TBEA New Energy’s technological vision and strategic roadmap in the context of the overarching trend toward integrated solar-plus-storage systems.

TE435/392K-HV high-power serial liquid-cooled PCS

This product is a complete reconstruction of the converter (PCS), the core of the energy storage system by TBEA. Its key highlight is the adoption of all-in-one intelligent liquid cooling combined with an ultra-high power-density integrated design. Through innovative topology and thermal management, the new design achieves a smaller footprint and lighter weight at the same power rating. Compared with the previous generation, both volumetric power density and gravimetric power density have been significantly improved. This significantly reduces the land footprint of energy storage power stations, making it particularly suitable for projects in areas with limited land resources or for retrofits and upgrades, thereby directly lowering both initial capital expenditure and land costs. The TE435/392K-HV goes beyond mere physical compactness; it is akin to a smart “heart” endowed with independent thinking and self-sustaining capabilities. When paired with the TE-PowerHUB high-speed control platform, it gains grid-forming capabilities and can seamlessly switch between grid-forming and grid-following modes within milliseconds. This means that it can not only adapt to a wide range of grid conditions, from extremely strong to extremely weak (SCR = 1–40), but also proactively provide critical ancillary services such as inertia support, fast frequency regulation, and black-start capability. As a result, it transitions from being a mere “power transporter” to an “active participant” in maintaining grid stability. By combining the IP66 C5-M’s high ingress protection rating with multiple active safety features, it achieves extreme compactness while maintaining ultra-high reliability in a wide range of harsh environments.

TS500KTL-HV-C1 series photovoltaic inverter

On the photovoltaic side, the advent of the TS500KTL-HV-C1 has pushed the stand-alone power of the string inverter to a new global height of . The product is adapted to the design of 5/5.5MW photovoltaic large base array. through , the system line loss and BOS (balanced system) cost are effectively reduced. compared with the mainstream 330kW scheme, it is expected to bring significant initial investment savings to the power station.

The power core of the “engine” adopts , which not only improves the conversion efficiency, but also enhances the power density and reliability. The product has the ability to , showing unparalleled environmental adaptability. In terms of grid integration, it employs voltage-source converter (VSC) control technology, enabling proactive support for grid voltage and frequency. With a power response time as fast as within 20 milliseconds, it significantly enhances the photovoltaic power plant’s ability to respond to grid dispatch commands and provide grid support, thereby contributing to grid stability under high penetrations of renewable energy.

From single point of breakthrough to system-level value reshaping

The value of the two new products goes far beyond parameter improvement. Together, they point to the optimization of system-level efficiency and economy, and enable full life cycle management through intelligent empowerment.

The compact design of the TE435/392K-HV directly reduces the land, installation and civil costs of the energy storage system. The TS500KTL-HV-C1, by leveraging high power and high voltage, reduces the number of inverters and cable tray requirements, thereby lowering BOS costs. The two factors, operating from different stages of the value chain, jointly reduced the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE/LCOS) for new energy power plants.

both the network construction capability of energy storage and the voltage source control of photovoltaic show that TBEA’s new energy products have fully embraced the “grid-friendly” design concept. This transforms new energy power plants from “grid followers” into “grid supporters,” aligning with the fundamental requirements for building a new type of power system.

Both products are deeply integrated with intelligent sensing and diagnosis functions, and can be seamlessly connected with TBEA’s TB-eCloud intelligent energy management platform. Leveraging cloud-based big data and intelligent analytics, the solution enables end-to-end digital lifecycle management — from equipment condition monitoring and fault localization to performance optimization — significantly enhancing O&M efficiency and power generation revenue.
