
South Network Zhaoqing Pumped Storage Power Station is a national “14th Five-Year Plan” key energy project with a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, unit 4 is a 300 MW variable speed pumped storage unit. The variable speed pumping unit has the characteristics of high operating efficiency, large head/head adaptation range, fast power adjustment speed and adjustable power under pump conditions, which provides a faster and more accurate adjustment means for the power system.
As the first (set) of the cooperative controller and AC excitation control system of 300 MW variable speed pumped storage unit in China, there are many difficult problems to be overcome, including the coordination and optimization control of variable speed unit under strong coupling of water and electricity, fast power decoupling control under wide speed range, grid fault crossing and active support control under extreme working conditions, etc. Nanrui Jibao took advantage of the technical advantages of multi-professional integration to carry out control strategy research and product development, successfully achieved the expected goals, and achieved the technical breakthrough of the first (set) collaborative controller and AC excitation control system.
