200MW/800MWh! Shanxi Guangchu Energy Independent Sharing Energy Storage Power Station Project Energy Storage Area Equipment Foundation Completed

the 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage power station project of guangchu energy is one of the key projects in the new energy storage field of attracting investment in our city. After intense construction, at present, the project energy storage area equipment foundation has been completed.

At the project construction site, transport vehicles shuttle back and forth, large cranes operate in an orderly manner, and construction personnel are simultaneously pushing forward the finishing work such as site cleaning and roofing works.

Wang Hairui, deputy manager of technical quality of the 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage power station project of Guangchu Energy: since the start of construction in November 2025, the foundation of energy storage equipment and the main structure of living area have been completed, and the foundation of substation area has been completed by 50%. At this stage, masonry of secondary structure of living area, pouring of equipment foundation of substation area and backfilling of earthwork in the plant area are being implemented.

It is understood that the project of independent shared energy storage power station covers an area of 61 mu with a total investment of 0.8 billion yuan. Planning and construction of energy storage system, booster station, living area and future heavy card charging four functional areas. The energy storage scale of the project is 200MW/800MWh, with full-scene power guarantee functions such as frequency modulation, peak adjustment, backup and black start. After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual discharge capacity will be about 272000 MWh, which can reduce coal consumption by 60000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 160000 tons per year, meet the electricity demand of about 100000 households for a year, and effectively improve the city’s new energy consumption level. It is of great significance to improve the peak regulation and frequency modulation capacity of the regional power grid, optimize the energy supply structure, and promote the green transformation of energy.
