200 MW/400 MWh! Another energy storage power station successfully connected to the grid

recently, the 200MW/400MWh project shared energy storage power station in Yongping pangtun, Dali, Yunnan, invested and built by Shenzhen yichu shizhi energy group co., ltd. has successfully realized the electrified grid connection of the whole station, marking a landmark breakthrough in the construction of new energy storage in Dali prefecture and a strong new momentum in the construction of new power system in western Yunnan.

It is understood that Yongping Pangtun Energy Storage Power Station is located in Bonan Town, Yongping County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, with a total area of about 50 mu. It is the only network-type energy storage power station in Yongping County and a key demonstration project with both peak shaving and frequency modulation capabilities in Yunnan Province.

the total installed capacity of the project is 200MW/400MWh, and the system has faster response, more stable operation and higher adjustment accuracy.

in the power grid access link, this project is connected to 220kV sutun transformer by a newly-built 220kV line of 0.528km through the collection of 8 35kV energy storage and collection lines, which is boosted by 200MVA main transformer. the path is short, the line loss is small, and the power supply reliability is outstanding.

after being connected to the grid, the power station can add 460MW of new photovoltaic energy, greatly improving the regional new energy consumption capacity and delivery guarantee, providing solid energy storage support for the landing of photovoltaic projects in Dali state and the large-scale development of new energy, and truly realizing “energy storage support and new energy worry-free”.

as a grid-based energy storage benchmark project, the power station has two core advantages:

one is millisecond response to grid frequency modulation instructions, with stronger voltage support, frequency stability and independent networking capabilities, which can effectively stabilize the grid disturbance caused by fluctuations in new energy sources and improve the safety and stability of grid operation.

Second, the peak regulation capability is outstanding. It can work with wind power, hydropower, photovoltaic and other power stations to accurately cut peaks and fill valleys, expand new energy consumption space, improve power quality, and provide a key guarantee for a high proportion of new energy access.

it is estimated that the annual power generation capacity can reach 0.12 billion kwh after the power station is put into operation, and the annual discharge capacity can meet the annual electricity demand of 37000 households. During the whole life cycle, the average annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions is about 60000 tons, with significant green and low carbon benefits.

this project was successfully connected to the grid, filling the gap in the large-scale application of energy storage in Yongping county, strengthening the short board of regional new power system construction, and establishing a replicable and popularized high-quality demonstration for energy storage construction on the power grid side of Yunnan province with high standard construction, high efficiency production and high safety operation and maintenance.
