Huasun New Energy pumps 5.7B in 5 GW heterojunction cell, module project

China-based Huasun New Energy Co., Ltd has signed a 5GW heterojunction cell and module project with Xishan Economic Development Zone, Wuxi City yesterday, with a total investment of RMB 5.7 billion yuan.

The project, with a total area of about 29 hectares, is mainly about the construction of Huasun heterojunction photovoltaic industrial park, including advanced photovoltaic research institute, bifacial microcrystalline heterojunction cell and module factory, as well as a supporting silicon rod slicing factory.

Meanwhile, it’s set to attract excellent enterprises in the upstream, middle and downstream industrial chain to build an advanced heterojunction photovoltaic industrial cluster. According to the plan, the project is constructed and put into implementation by stages. The annual output value of phase I and phase II can exceed RMB 10 billion yuan.


One type of heterojunction-cell module (HJT) of the company also successfully passed testing and received certification from TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH. This is also the industry’s first 12BB-M6 HJT solar cell product certificate.
